Stage design and projection mapping for Eisenhower Dance Ensamble at Detroit Music Hall for a special performance on April 15, 2018. 

Projection mapped an abandoned school house in East Side Detroit with faces of local Detroit residents. The New D Media Arts team lead by Gabriel Hall, utilized content from the Shine a Light documentary to animate the architecture of the old school house and bring it to life. My roles included, planning the installation with NDMA, installing hardware, and projection mapping half of the structure (left side of building.) The installation, funded by the Knights Arts Foundation turned out to be a huge success.

3D designs for two projection mapped mural concepts at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions.  Design is intended to be executed as a large format vinyl wall print or painted wall mural, and brought to life through the aid of projection mapping.

3D renderings of large scale display concepts for live social media streaming at Ford Field.

Live VJ visuals for Carl Craig, Carl Cox, and Joseph Capriatti during the 2017 Movement electronic music festival in Detroit. Visuals were created using custom vintage analog modular video synthesizers, and edited in real time using modern VJ software Modul8 and Madmapper.

Interior design concept and LED lighting installation for Detroit based Yoga studio. LED in the floor inlets and behind the border are designed to work with Madmapper video and lighting software. I also executed several logo branding concepts for the space and illuminated sign installation concepts.

WORKED ON THE IN HOUSE PRODUCTION TEAM AT DBA, CREATING THE ‘CASTLE ON THE COAST’ PLATFORM STYLE VIDEO GAME AS WELL AS VR GAMES AND APPLICATIONS THAT WERE INTENDED TO AID IN THE PHYSICAL THERAPY OF TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN AND CANCER PATIENTS. MY ROLE IN THE CREATION OF ‘CASTLE ON THE COAST’ INCLUDED ORIGINAL MUSIC COMPOSITION (SEE MUSIC SECTION), SOUND DESIGN, GAME CONCEPTING, BOARD LAYOUT, AS WELL AS CREATING CHARACTERS AND 3D ELEMENTS WITHIN THE GAME.

Projection mapped sculptural display for Linkies live streaming of social media content.  Photos and text from social media can be projected on strucural display within 30 seconds after they are posted.  With New D Media Arts.

Stage design / DJ booth design concepts for Dirty Bird Records Barclay Crenshaw (AKA Claud Von Stroke).  Backdrop made from rear projection panels, lined with audio reactive fluorescent lights, and flanked by truss wrapped in custom sock with printed brand content and imagery.  Holographic scrim is stretched from wall to wall creating translucent foreground to lay projections over top of set.  Artist stands behind Mayan temple inspired DJ both.

Booth design and product display concepts for Swagtron products at CES. Walls of booth made of reflective rear projection material, video mapped 360 degrees, visable from inside and out. With New D Media Arts.

3D renderings of kinetic lighting options for trade show setting.  Fully automatable  kintectic lighting systems can be animated to change color and form to meet your creative vision. 

INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPT FOR CUSTOM WALL COVERING INSIDE HOME OF PRIVATE CLIENT.  DESIGN CREATED DIGITALLY FOR LARGE FORMAT PRINTING TO BE INSTALLED ON THE CEILING OF THE HOME IN THE BREAKFAST NOOK.  COMMISSIONED BY CAMPION PLATT ARCHITECTURE AND KIM DENT DESIGN.

Exterior window installation and interior bar installation at Green House Night Club located in Soho NYC.  

New D Media Arts collaborated with Icon Interactive to bring Panasonic Automotive technologies to life as we projection mapped a full scale foam car model and backdrop. I worked to construct and install the experience with the NDMA team shortly after joining the company. The target audience consisted of CEO’s and top engineers of major auto manufacturers, and were shown simulated Panasonic Automotive future technologies.  Originally designed for NAIAS 2015 in Detroit, this later evolved into a permanent installation at the Panasonic Automotive headquarters that can be regularly updated to keep up with the evolution of the companies technology.

CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF ‘LIGHTBENDER,’ A PERMANENT INTERACTIVE LIGHT INSTALLATION DESIGNED BY NEW D MEDIA ARTS, WHERE CARS DRIVING THROUGH THE UNDERPASS WILL TRIGGER ROWNS OF COLORED LIGHT THROUGH MOTION DETECTORS, AND PEDESTRIANS MAY ACCESS A LOCAL SERVER ON THEIR SMARTPHONE TO GAIN FULL CONTROL OF LIGHTS ON THE WALKWAYS.  THIS ALLOWS THE USER TO CHANGE COLORS, PATTERNS AND LIGHT MOVEMENTS WITH THE SWIPE OF A FINGER.  THROUGH ARTIST GRANTS FROM KNIGHTS ART FOUNDATION, MIDTOWN DETROIT INC, AND NEW ECONOMY INITIATIVE, THE NDMA PROPOSAL FOR VIADUCT INSTALLATION WAS ONE OF THREE SELECTED TO BEAUTIFY THE DIMLY LIT UNDERPASS IN MIDTOWN DETROIT.

Designed laser cut sculptures, and postcards for Mariott Hotels Restaurant in Chicago.  Design custom wall art, and layout for hotel lobbies and rooms.
